Help me work to keep New Hampshire prosperous and free by bringing back common sense ideas and solutions that work in the best interest of The People.

In March of 2004, I started the blog, mAss Backwards (name changed to No Looking Backwards, as soon as I moved out of Massachusetts in December 2006), in which I wrote of politics and current events from the perspective of a libertarian-leaning conservative living “behind the wire” in the City of Boston.

While I began that project as a way to vent my frustration at local politicians and their penchant for taxpayer-funded ineptitude, I quickly developed a sizable audience and kept writing for more than six years – a lifetime in blog years. In that time, my material has been featured on such websites as Instapundit, Michelle Malkin, the Boston Globe, and The Corner at National Review Online. I have also been a guest on NRA News radio and WTKK talk radio in Boston.

In 2006, I took home the Weblog Award in the “Best of the Top 2501 - 3500 Blogs” category.

Now, lest anyone be led to believe I was running some kind of right-wing extremist website, a good friend of mine, David S. Bernstein of the left-leaning Boston Phoenix once described my blog as smart, funny, highly readable, and original. And David Kravitz, founder of the liberal Bay State blog, Blue Mass Group, had this to say: by far the class act of MA-focused conservative/libertarian/call it what you will blogging. He's also the funniest blogger in the state of whatever political stripe.” *

When I made the decision to run for office, I decided at that time to leave my blog intact for anyone who wants to read through my archives and learn more about my perspective on life and politics. Feel free to poke around. Though, be warned, my writing has been described at times as somewhat coarse. But, on the other hand, it’s nothing that wouldn’t get Joe “This a f***ing big deal.” Biden’s seal of approval.

Long-time readers need not mourn my absence from the world of on-line political commentary. I will continue to offer my insight and opinions on the issues and news stories of the day on my Facebook page. Become a fan today, and become part of the conversation. All are welcome. Also, I finally cracked and opened a Twitter account (username: Bruce_MacMahon).

Unlike many who seek (and/or hold) public office, I have no secrets to hide, when it comes to political principles and ideology. I’m more than happy to leave the ambiguous, feel-good catch phrases and platitudes to others. Whether I’m discussing Red Sox baseball, local microbreweries, bad 80’s music, or other equally serious topics of the day, you’re going to know where I stand. I want the voters of Brentwood to make as informed a choice as they possibly can come November.
